LAKE BUTLER, Fla. (May 15, 2009) —Community members with a vested interest in the healthcare of Union County are invited to attend Charting the Course for the Health of Union County and Its Residents on Tuesday, May 26, 2009. The event will be held at the Union County Historical Society, 410 West main Street, Lake Butler from 6:30 to 8:00 pm.

Jeff Feller, COO of WellFlorida Council, will present an overview of the health status of Union County. A discussion session will follow. The goal of the event is to educate interested parties in the health status of Bradford County and to create strategies to improve the health of Union County and its residents.

The event is hosted by Union County Health Department, the Union County board of Commissioners, the lake butler City Commission and WellFlorida Council. WellFlorida Council is a local health planning council serving Bradford County and District 3 of Florida. WellFlorida’s mission is to build healthy communities through advocacy for health issues and facilitation of community initiatives.
