Navigators and insurance agents will be available to help people check out their options  and sign up for affordable, quality healthcare through the Healthcare.gov marketplace. The deadline for health insurance coverage that starts on January 1st, 2015 is December 15th. Open enrollment for 2015 ends on February 15th.

Get financial security and peace of mind knowing that you’ll have access to healthcare. Health insurance is protection from medical bills, the greatest cause of debt and bankruptcy in the US. In 2014, 91% of Floridians who enrolled for a marketplace plan got financial assistance. Half paid less than $68 per month. Some paid much less.

To enroll for health insurance, you’ll need to know social security numbers all in your household, and bring a W2 or pay stubs to confirm income. Walk-ins are welcome, on a first come, first served basis. We’ll have health screenings and information tables while you wait. Better, you can make an appointment online at www.getcoveredamerica.org/connector. The event is listed as MLK Center LINKS.
