Central Florida Health and WellFlorida Council are conducting surveys and focus groups in Lake, Sumter and Marion counties to gauge the health and health needs in the region. Results, along with research and health related data, will be made available in a community health needs assessment in summer 2019.

The 10-minute surveys are available at www.WellFlorida.org (select “Survey”). Participants will be entered to win a $30 gift card. The survey will be open from Feb. 15 to March 31, 2019. To receive a printed version of the surveys, or for additional information regarding the surveys, call or email Chris Abarca at cabarca@www.wellflorida.org or 352-727-3767.

Four focus groups will be held throughout Central Florida Health’s service area in March. Residents, healthcare and social services providers, businesses and faith-based organizations are encouraged to participate. A $20 stipend will be provided. Please call WellFlorida Council at 352-727-3767 for the focus group schedule and to register.

Central Florida Health is a locally owned and governed not-for-profit healthcare system, providing services to Lake, Sumter and Marion counties through Leesburg Regional Medical Center and The Villages Regional Hospital. WellFlorida Council is the region’s health planning council and consultant for health causes.
