The North Central Florida Health Care Coalition (NCFHCC) is teaming up with other local medical organizations to bring you the Cybersecurity and Highly Infectious Disease Summit on May 26th in Palatka, Florida. At the event, individuals will get the chance to learn from an array of experts and participate in a Homeland Security tabletop exercise on cybersecurity and medical surge.

The event will include two speakers from UF Health Shands who will go in depth into Ebola planning and response.

TALLAHASSEE, Fla. – Today, the Agency for Health Care Administration (Agency) announced that CommunityHealth IT will join the Florida Health Information Exchange (Florida HIE). CommunityHealth IT is the most recent addition to the Florida HIE program’s Patient Look-Up (PLU) service.

David Nelson is a team player.

Central Florida Health

Central Florida Health (CFH) recently released its Community Health Needs Assessment as part of the organization’s efforts to improve the health and wellness of the communities it serves.

Because CFH operates separate hospitals that serve both Leesburg and The Villages, independent assessments were done for each community. The focus of the assessment in the Leesburg area was North Lake County and the focus of the assessment in The Villages area was Sumter and South Marion County.

WellFlorida Council is conducting surveys to gauge the health of Hernando County. Community members, healthcare providers and business leaders are invited to share their views on health and healthcare in the county by taking a 10-minute survey.
